How To Create The Perfect False Tan

1

* Try one of the many easy does it moisturising self tanners to create your sunkissed imitation tan, follow these 10 steps to get that glow:

1. Buff your skin with an exfoliator or a synthetic scrubbie to get rid of any dead skin cells.

2. Rinse well and wash with a softening bath/shower cream.

3. Pat your skin dry and smooth on a moisturising self tanning lotion paying particular attention to your ankles, knees and elbows where self tanners cling on most.

4. Rub your self tanner over your thighs, body and arms. Use circular and long sweeping motions to get a streak-free finish.

5. Once most of your body is covered, you can spend a little more time blending small amounts of self tanner into the easily forgotten places - behind your knees, feet, backs of your arms, around your armpits, neck and décolleté .

6. Wash your hands and nails with a brush or face flannel. Pay particular attention to between your fingers, cuticles and the sides of your hands.

7. Use a make-up sponge or a cotton wool pad with a tiny amount of self tanner to sweep over the backs of your hands for a professional finish.

8. Put on a loose fitting robe and leave your self-tanner for at least 1/2 an hour to absorb into your skin. Most streaking disasters happen because you’ve dressed too quickly.

9. On to your face, use a sponge or cotton wool pad working from your nose outwards. Blend away before your get to your hairline.

10. Orange eyebrows are a dead giveaway, so dip a cotton bud in some toner and run it through your brows before the self tanner has time to tango them.
